Techno-Classica Essen 2014

Last year I used the 25th anniversary of the Techno-Classica Essen for the start of my exhibitions of the painting series "Rennsportlegenden - Mille Miglia". With more than 1250 exhibitors from more than 30 countries the TCE is the world´s largest trade fair for collectible cars. During the five days of this annual trade fair for vintage cars and modern classics more than 193000 visitors were inspired in the 20 exhibition halls by over 125 years of perceptible automobile history.

I would like to tie in with the success of the previous year and will therefore visit the trade show in Essen with the first further development of project "Rennsportlegenden der Vergangenheit", in order to exhibit my latest series of paintings "Rennsportlegenden - Le Mans" on the 26th Techno-Classica in Essen from 26th to 30th March 2014.

A day ticket for adults will be available there for 25,- €.
The Premium-day ticket for the Happy View Day / Preview day on 26th March 2014 will cost 45,- €.

As for the Mille Miglia Series, there will be a catalogue accompanying the project this year, which can be downloaded from the download section of my website once it is completed. In addition a special section of the website is being developed that deals with the theme "Legends of Motorsports - Le Mans".

New is the division this project is based on. Besides two large-size overall winner series I present three works that pick up the charm of old motorsports posters and which approach the holding of the 24 hours of Le Mans in 1923, 1930 and 1931.

With planning the fair, developing the catalogue and my current projects I am temporarily very busy. Additionally I will move my home and workshop within Münster. The workshop and the gallery will get a new home before long. Eagerly and full of positive expectations I am looking forward into the future.

LEGENDS OF MOTOR SPORTS

The 24 hours of Le Mans are regarded as the hardest race in the world. On the traditional racing court the best drivers converge in order to prove their vehicles´ reliability and state of the art in a merciless crucial test. Because of the daredevil duels with dramatic climaxes the magical attraction of the Circuit d´Endurance de la Sarthe still persists today and fascinates racing fans worldwide. On this street circuit legends were born and racing history was written.

From the first holding of the Le Mans Series in the year 1923 till 1939 it were the successful models of the brands Chenard & Walcker, Bentley, Lorraine-Dietrich, Alfa-Romeo, Lagonda, Bugatti und Delahaye, which could place themselves firmly in the myth and history of the 24 Heures du Mans by at least one victory in the overall results. In the series of paintings of the overall winners in my project "Racing Legends - Le Mans" I will bring the history of these heroes of early racing sports back to life.
