Overall champions - Section Ferrari »

From 1948 onward, the Mille Miglia was all about the Cavallino Rampante by Ferrari. The enterprise, which had evolved from the racing team of the former racing pilot Enzo Ferrari in 1947, dominated the races of the postwar period. With the overall victory in 1953, Ferrari could win the Mille Miglia for the sixth time in succession. For a team that had completed their first test drive with a racing car they had designed and built themselves only seven years before, an astonishing achievement.

Until the end of the classical Mille Miglia, the company could again become the overall winner in the years 1956 and 1957 and could thus achieve a total of eleven victories in this legendary road race.
