Ferencz Olivier and the VfB Stuttgart

Even though VfB-President Erwin Staudt already turned 60 on 25^th February, the big party was on 8^th March. Erwin Staudt received his maybe most beautiful present for his 60^th birthday from the VfB-team, for in the afternoon, the soccer team of Armin Veh won against    SV Werder Bremen in a spectacular match with 6:3 and thus provided the right attunement for the night. 200 invited guests cam to Staudt´s birthplace Leonberg and spent an enjoyable time in a congenial gathering. Next to family members, numerous companions from his career and personal friends, also the board of directors, the extended board of management and the trainer team of the VfB were among the guests.

In the name of the club, Ulrich Ruf handed over a painting by the artist Ferencz Olivier Hetyei with the fitting title “Champion Star“ to the jubilarian. But Erwin Staudt did not only receive numerous gifts and congratulations, but also contributed himself to the successful evening with a musical performance. Together with his sister´s nephew, he performed “A Star over Stuttgart“ on the trumpet and thus made all the party guests indulge in reminiscences of 19^th May last year. And everybody who knows Erwin Staudt knows that he will again with great energy work on the successful future of the VfB in the next year of his life.
