Le huitième Grand Prix d´Endurance les 24 Heures du Mans

Among the debutants of the eighth Grand Prix d‘Endurance was the German team with Rudolf Caracciola and Christian Werner in their Mercedes-Benz Supersport, as well as a 6C 1750 Gran Sport Model of the brand Alfa-Romeo, driven by Francis Curzon and Leslie Callingham. With Marguerite Mareuse and Odette Siko a female team crossed the finish line of this race for the first time and was ranked seventh in a Bugatti Type 40. On the track that had been shortened by the curve at Pontlieu the year before, Tim Birkin established a track record in his Bentley Blower C with an average speed of 144,362 km/h, whereas the Bentley Boys could win the first two ranks of the overall standings in their Speed Six Models. The first place was taken by Woolf Barnato with his co-pilot Glen Kidston in their Old Number One which had already decided the previous race for itself.
